Attending Court in the Age of Covid
The Courts of Western Australia, like most venues, have now imposed a variety of requirements and procedures in relation to Covid vaccination. This means in order to ensure we can run your matter smoothly we will inquire about your vaccination status. If you are not vaccinated or exempted from vaccination it is important that we know prior to any court hearing so we can submit the appropriate forms or make video-conferencing arrangements. If you are vaccinated or exempted it is essential that you bring evidence of your vaccination or exemption with you to any court hearing, mediation or meeting.
It is a requirement at all Courts that attendees must wear a mask – so don’t forget your mask! There are some exceptions during court proceedings where participants will be permitted to remove their mask by the Judge or Magistrate, in these circumstances simply follow the directions of the judicial officer.
